I've been eating less overall since going on Wegovy, so have been trying to maximize protein content at every meal. This week I've been experimenting with Hero Plain Bagels, which somehow pack 19g of protein and only 4g net carbs. The macros on these things are almost suspiciously good.
Combined with 2 eggs, half an avocado, and a little cheese, this makes for a genuinely satisfying breakfast that hits around 500 calories, 40g of protein, and only 13g net carbs.
Highly processed? Perhaps. But it seems like a worthwhile tradeoff when the alternative is skipping breakfast entirely or eating something that does nothing for satiety. I'm posting the label so you can decide for yourself.
The bagel toasts up well, holds its shape, and doesn't taste like cardboard — which, for a 4g net carb bagel, is frankly a miracle. Recommend.
